International Architecture Competition: Handrail on a Cliff

GENERAL TERMS

1.1. These Terms and Conditions (hereinafter - the Terms) define the rules of registration and participation in the competition titled "Handrail on a Cliff."

1.2. ArchContest.com is the trading brand of ArchContest, a sole proprietorship registered in Italy, with VAT number 04166690364, headquartered at Via della Vite 30, Modena. Contact email: [email protected] (hereinafter - the Organizer).

1.3. The Organizer reserves the right to update or amend these Terms at any moment. By using the ArchContest platform and registering for the Competition, the Participant fully and irrevocably agrees to these Terms, constituting a contract between the Participant and the Organizer.

1.4. Personal data provided by the Participant are governed by the platform's Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy.

DEFINITIONS

2.1. "Platform" refers to the website https://archcontest.com, utilized for registration and submission.

2.2. "Competition" refers to the architecture concept competition "Handrail on a Cliff" organized by ArchContest via the Platform.

2.3. "Participant" refers to any individual or team registered for the Competition.

2.4. "Submission" refers to the design proposal submitted within the Competition.

2.5. "Jury" refers to a selected group of professional experts responsible for evaluating Submissions.

2.6. "Prize" refers to the monetary award distributed among the winners.

PARTICIPANT ELIGIBILITY AND REGISTRATION

3.1. The Competition is open to all Participants aged 18 years and above.

3.2. Participants can register individually or as a team without the need for specific certification.

3.3. Participation in the Competition is contingent upon payment of a registration fee. Payment confirmation provides access to the submission functions.

3.4. The Organizer reserves the right to verify eligibility and resolve eligibility disputes.

SUBMISSIONS

4.1. All Submissions must represent original work by the Participant or team.

4.2. Submissions must be uploaded through the Platform’s dedicated submission section. Late or incorrectly formatted submissions will not be accepted.

4.3. A total of 20 finalists and 3 winners will be selected.

4.4. Participants must ensure their submissions do not infringe upon third-party rights.

FEES AND COSTS

5.1. A registration fee is required and must be fully paid prior to participation.

5.2. Registration fees are non-refundable unless the Competition is canceled.

5.3. Participants cover their own expenses related to the preparation of Submissions.

DISQUALIFICATION

6.1. Participants providing false information or violating guidelines will be disqualified.

6.2. Non-compliance with submission requirements will result in disqualification.

SELECTION OF WINNERS

7.1. The Jury will anonymously assess Submissions based on established criteria.

7.2. The Jury's decisions are final and not appealable.

PRIZE

8.1. The total prize fund will be allocated among 3 winners.

8.2. Winners must provide valid banking details for prize disbursement.

8.3. Prize recipients are responsible for applicable taxes.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

9.1. Participants retain ownership of submitted work but grant the Organizer license rights for publication, promotion, and marketing use.

9.2. The Organizer may use winning projects for promotional and branding activities.

LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY

10.1. Participants release the Organizer from liability associated with participation.

CANCELLATION AND AMENDMENTS

11.1. The Organizer reserves the right to cancel or modify the Competition at any time.

11.2. If canceled, registration fees will be refunded.

COMMUNICATION

12.1. All communication regarding the Competition will occur via the official email: [email protected].

12.2. In team registrations, communication will solely involve the designated team leader.

GOVERNING LAW

13.1. These Terms are governed by Italian law.

13.2. Disputes will be settled by the courts in Modena, Italy.

CONCLUSION

14.1. These Terms take effect upon Participant registration.

14.2. The Organizer reserves amendment rights; Participants must regularly check updates.
